johnny206
Hello, A couple of weeks ago I got the I-797 NOA saying my K-1 application has been forwarded to the NVC in New Hampshire. I called the NVC and received the GUZ #, invoice #, and beneficiary #. From my research, I can start doing I-134 Affidavit of Support -- is there anything else I need to fill out? Seems like my work is pretty much done here in the USA? For my fiancee in China (never married before with no kids), the tasks she needs to complete are: Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application.A passport valid for travel to the United StatesDivorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor Medical examinationEvidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)Two (2) 2x2 photographs.Did I miss anything? And what's this converting GUZ # to GZO?? Thanks for your time Link to comment
dnoblett
K-1 has no interaction with the NVC, all they do is forward the case on to the consulate, so there is no GUZ to GZO (OPT-IN). GZO Opt-in process is only for CR, and IR immigrant visas, not K-Visas. Fiancee will also need to get:Police certificateBirth certificateCertificate of no marriage.Your I-134 should include:Past 3 years IRS returns or transcriptsCopies of pay stubs going back 6 monthsLetter from employer stating job function, pay rate, full time/part time (Study the financial evidence indicated in the instructions for I-864, you use I-134, however the consulate prefers the financial evidence that you would later use with I-864.Once the consulate receives the case from NVC they will send fiancee instructions directing her to this page: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.aspThere an account will be set up to pay the visa fee, schedule appointment, and arrange for visa delivery. johnny206
I used TurboTax to file my taxes electronically, can I just print out PDF copies for my Form 1040 from TurboTax or I have to ask the IRS for "official" copy of my returns or transcripts? Link to comment

digiteltim1
After scheduling the intertview for the K1 visa through ustravelsocs.com.cn, did you wait for the P4 email or just pint out the interview appointment notification and attend the interview with all the necessary docs (affidavit of support, police check, birth certificate, etc..)? Of course I paid the visa fee and got the medical. Link to comment

Greg.D.
While I wait for the IRS to send my 3 years tax returns and am contemplating downloading them, saw this stor: Hackers stole personal information from 104,000 taxpayers, IRS saysHackers gained access to personal information of 104,000 taxpayers this spring, downloading an online service the Internal Revenue Service uses to give Americans access to their past tax returns, the agency said Tuesday. ... ... The thieves hacked into a system called “Get Transcript,” clearing a security screen that requires users to know the taxpayer’s Social Security number, date of birth, address and tax filing status....Koskinen said the system, which has temporarily been shut down, was targeted from February through mid-May.Since we got our consulate letter and need to schedule, I need to download (as I am still waiting for the paid-for copies). But, visiting the web site says: Alert:The online Get Transcript service is currently unavailable. Transcripts may still be ordered using the Get Transcript by Mail service. We apologize for any inconvenience.Hope it's back (and secure) soon. Link to comment
Greg.D.
IRS has added a free Get Transcript by Mail service. And, they are promising a turnaround time of 5- 10 days. I believe the previous window was 90 days. Link to comment

Greg.D.
I got my quick transcript (paper) today after 6 days. My check for the paper copy was cashed about 45 days ago. IRS says allow 60 days. Can you advise if the quick transcript is good enough? Or, should we hold out for the validated photocopy I ordered about 3 months ago? Thanks if you can help,Greg Link to comment
dnoblett
Quick transcript should be fine, I used them for my wife's visa and adjustment of status several years ago, as well as for removing conditions. Faxed as well as simple print outs from calling IRS Link to comment
Greg.D.
Thanks, Mr Dan. I will go with this. Maybe hold my packet a day or two as my return copy should be in process, but I need to get this thing to China very soon so probably just include the transcript. The pdf return link is still down and no reason to think it will be up at a time convenient for me . Wishful thinking is not my style.Greg Link to comment
dnoblett
Get them scanned to PDF at The local office store if you don't have a scanner, and email them to your spouse in China and have them printed there, the only original signed form needs to be the I-864 form, signing the I-864 is swearing the attached documents are true copies.
