Thomas Promise
These questions were taken from the 100 civics questions about U.S. history and government given to applicants for naturalization by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Department. A USCIS worker asks each applicant up to 10 of the 100 questions for the naturalization test, and applicants must earn a score of at least 6/10. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/28/us-citizenship-test-quiz_n_5045045.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000013 Link to comment
tsap seui
Not even gonna give it a gander.....I couldn't pass the thing without extensive study. I never was any good at civics and in fact flunked it in high school. I just stepped up to the plate and took my turn at bat on serving the country, never really had an interest in the rest. tsap seui Link to comment
Mick
I quizzed Li in preparing for her exam. I saw all the questions and figure I would do very well on the exam. Of course, I did major in History as an undergraduate and had a minor in Political Science. Link to comment

tsap seui
Heck, I would never pass with those questions. I was too interested in what Alice Gue or Trina Oakley were wearing to school that day to stuff like that stuff in my head. Then again, maybe if I had listened in class I wouldn't have been so stupid as to join up in the military. LOL tsap seui Link to comment
Randy W
. . . and just to make sure nobody missed it either time Not even gonna give it a gander.....I couldn't pass the thing without extensive study. tsap seui
If you need an encore buddy, I can be of assistance, and am always ready to deliver. I was stuck in a small high school in the outer edges of affluent Montgomery County, Merryland. I was a kid with a blue collar brain trying to take white collar academic classes only. Pushed by my parents that I had to go to college, yet my whole soul was starving for classes that taught me a trade....my studies floundered, then just tanked to nothingness. If I hadn't have picked up a bass guitar and found a passion to occupy my brain with hour after hour of research in the form of picking out note for note on a small record player, every note great bass players of the soul music era played, I would have wound up dropping out of high school. I needed to do, and study something...that I could actually USE. Something that I could create with my own mind...my own hands. NO, I don't know the answer to hardly a single question above. Just like in OCS/flight school....any enlisted man knew more about the Army, how the Army worked, who out ranked who, etc. Sure I took all of that junk in the countless classes and passed the tests to continue on in the officer candidate part of flight school, but I...me...I was in OCS/flight school to be a pilot, I could have cared less how the Army operated, and being saluted was meaningless to me. I just wanted to fly choppers in Vietnam, the rest of the study in OCS was useless fluff to me. Just like high school and one year of junior college (where I majored in drugs, alcohol, and girls....in no particular order....it was a waste of my talents, my time, and my parents money....so one day I decided to stop wasting their money and my time and I went down to a recruiter and told him I wanted to fly helicopters in Vietnam). They only needed to teach me everything possible to fly a Huey and send me to Nam, I didn't need no stinkin' OCS....I told all of my door gunner to never salute me, that stupid tarnished (on purpose) bar on my hat was only worn there to keep sergeants from giving me orders....nothing more as it meant nothing to me. I was a pilot....damn the officer. So, back to Dan's topic once again....No, I couldn't pass a US citizenship test. I am not and never was...wired in that respect....or field of study. I can wire and plumb, and even build yore house from the ground up, though. Nothing to that for me.....does that make me a US citizen? tsap seui Thank you....thank you very much Some of us write from the heart...some post other people's words with links Edited April 29, 2014 by tsap seui (see edit history) Link to comment
Randy W
Well, the YOU in the topic title certainly includes "yer own dayum self", so carry on, bro'! Link to comment
tsap seui
This just in....A question got asked, being a member of the Candle family I answered it. You wanted an encore, I gave it. I'll carry on my good man. As I've had to explain again and again, I like reading of others experiences in life, and sharing my own. Life is more interesting when people add a little more to a conversation or a question than simply putting links to what someone else said, isn't it? Got a problem with my gabbiness? Scroll on by, partner. It's real easy. tsap seui Link to comment
amberjack1234
I got all of them correct except one but I am more like ole Ronny. My stepson had an IQ of 120 but he was not a set behind the desk kind of person either. He made out pretty good in life . Retired at 20 years in the AF as a E-9 and then took a GS-14's job that they were holding for him. Some of us just weren't born paper pushers. I was not a officer but I was in A & E and they tried to get me to go to OTS many times but it just weren't for me and the boy did the same thing. He was in A & E too. Larry Link to comment
