USCIS approved my wifes 10 year green card! With all the other 'problems' we've had with all the dealings with the government in getting visas, etc. I thought for sure...ahh what the heck...not a time to be thinking negatives...THIS IS A POSITIVE!! YEHAAAAA!! CELEBRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that's one monkey off your back, now to complete this long process and get her daughter's visa, and get her over here. One upside to this is Daughter should get a 10 year card and wont need to remove conditions.

Really?! AWESOME! Wife will be happy. One question though as we're talking of 10 year green cards. Are the liimits on time spent in America/China different for someone with a 2 year green card? For example, can the wife be her a couple months, go back to CHina for a couple and come back without them going nuts because of her not being here 6 months at a time (at least)?

No, a 2 year card and the 10 year card are the same only one is conditional, the conditions being still in a valid marital relationship at the 2 year mark.

As for travel, they could revoke the green-card if they suspect that it is not being used for permanent residence in the USA, this tends to be a problem for those who actually live overseas and use the green-card for brief visits to the USA. 2 month trips abroad are not an issue unless a pattern develops where a person spends more time abroad than in the states.
