Randy W
Where on the website does it say this? I can't find that. I called the consulate, and they told me they would hold it for me if it is addressed to the Immigration Services Unit and it includes the case number. The consulate has in the past accepted I-864's in this manner. I believe Dan is speaking generically as far as what may happen with evidence submitted at the wrong time or in the wrong manner. If you have specific or even semi-specific instructions from the Consulate, by all means, go with that. Link to comment
dnoblett
Form OF-169 states "Do not send any documents to the Consulate unless you are advised to do so." http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/IV_Visa_Instructions.pdf Historically it use to say they would discard anything not requested. But yes my advice would be to contact the consulate and ask. Link to comment
daveblax
I called the consulate and asked after I posted the question on this forum. They seemed to think it was OK, but I am going to call back again to double-check and make sure. Thanks again for your help guys Link to comment
