Driver's Manuals in Chinese

Hello members,

Anyone can help me by emailing me a copy of Virginia Driver's Manual?

I have started translating New York State Driver's Manual, still need VA one as my first target destination is it.

The website for VA Driver's Manual is blocked here in Beijing (I don't know who to blame yet).

I will start to upload my translation of New York State Driver's Manual one chapter after another when I have done considerable part with it.

At one point, the translations could be laid alongside, page-by-page, making it easy to tell what was in the other.

Yep, many a time I have responded with OR and CA driving manuals, I printer them out for my wife to study, also in NY the written test can be done in Chinese.

Washington State prints one in Chinese

I went to the Washington web site and printed out their Chinese drivers manual. Also a friend in CA sent me a link to theirs. (Funny thig today...my lao po noticed a bus stopped and loading a passenger in a wheel chair. She asked me why all of the traffic was lined up and waiting behind the bus...why didn't they all go around? I told her that they would be in my lane with me...she told me there was plenty of room for many cars in my lane with me. I got a mental picture of how it would have been in China)

Although I got a ticket once for doing exactly that in Yulin - my car was halfway into the oncoming lane - 100RMB

I've seen drivers use the wrong lane as much as the correct one in, Fuzhou....it's chaos!

I thought that was on written on page 11 of the Chinese drivers handbook, "pass and drive anywhere you want to." Sorta like drivers in Northern Virginia....."the world is yours, drive like you want, no one else matters."

Learning to drive correctly takes time and patience. Even more effort as well. However for most new drivers in The Boston area they take their road test at Brookline Driving School. My wife took her road test there as well. They have you drive around the block and then it's time to get out....next!
