The only problem with the 21stcentury is that it only comes out once a week, but over in I know GZ, it was with the GZPost, and it was used more for teaching the english language. They would take questions from reader about our slang, and they would explain, in part, this paper did lots for helping them learn english. I know that my wife gets it every week now so that she can learn since it is both in chinese and english.

Hi blsqueaky,

When you want to load a web site link here is how you do it. Go to the Blue highlighted button marked http://. This will open a small window, if you are pasting a link, then delete the highlighted "http://" that's in the box already. If you are just typing the link in, leave the highlighted "http://" and just add the link after it. Past the link and then click the "OK" button. The next window will ask you to enter the title to the web page. If you want the link to show up on the post, Retype or past the link here. Delete the words "My Web Page" first Then click the "OK" button and your link will show up in HTML format. Then just click the "Preview Post" button below to check your post and see the link.

You should be ready to go from here.  http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_8_1.gif

Good Luck!

Bryan,

I guess there are several ways to insert a hyperlink.

I just surf to the page I want to hyperlink to. I then hilight the entire address line. On a PC computer, Ctrl-C will copy the line.

Then I paste the whole line into the message (using Ctrl-V). This would include the http:// portion.

The prompt and the actual hyperlink are then the same.

You can use your method if you want to make the hyperlink and the prompt different (as blsqueaky just did).

21st Century was very popular among the students on both campuses where I taught in China. As someone mentioned, it was an excellent teaching tool. China Daily is good as well but the news there is heavily censored and controlled and the op/ed page is mostly used for spreading the party line on any number of issues.
