dnoblett
Just bought a Soy-milk maker for my Yu on e-bay, she likes it. Joyoung soy milk maker w/Case http://importhome.com/index.html They sell pressure cookers, rice cookers, hot-water pots, etc.. The soy-milk maker sells for $119 on their website, however I bought it from their ebay store for $85. http://myworld.ebay.com/importhome_llc Link to comment
Kyle
We bought the exact same slow cooker pictured on their website, right here in China. We spent about a third of their asking price. I guess though, that's the price you pay for imported goods. I bet you can find slow cookers elsewhere at a lesser price. Thanks for the link; my wife is thrilled! For the past five years, I've gotten by without drinking one drop of soy milk. Now, it looks like I'm once again not out-of-the-woods. This is a good find, especially if you're looking for brands your spouse/fiance are familiar with. Good ol Amazon has Chinese brand products as well. For example. http://www.amazon.com/Joyoung-CTS1048-Auto...7883&sr=8-1 Edited November 3, 2009 by Kyle (see edit history) Link to comment

chilton747
We are old school here. The wife soaks the beans, puts them in a regular CHEAP blender then boils the milk. I wanted to buy a machine like you mentioned but I was nearly mopped when I brought up the idea. Seems like she prefers labor over spending money. 1 Link to comment

In China I loved to go to a particular restaurant...they had a really good drink there....I order double large because ...well .... who can say when I'll return to China.. My wife is now in the USA and buys some disgusting soymilk which I refuse to drink. She heats it and says..."you like this ...I know". It wasn¡¯t EXACTLY the same but I could see her point. Seems that I might like the disgusting stuff¡¡ I wonder if this thing is a good New Year¡¯s present? Link to comment
Kyle
Here's another http://www.wokshop.com/products_main.html This however, may not fall under the category of appliances, however, for my wife, there's a lot of Chinese style cooking utensils (many of which you can find local street vendors using) which she's accustomed to. Its propane, cant use that indoors without a pretty good exhaust system. I fear the wok issue as when she arrives and sees my electric stove she is going to get on plane right back to china.
