David and Qing
Hi, Eveyone We got our pink on the 10th of September, I spent almost a month in China with my wife and her family / relativities. I think I should post my experience here for other members, because I get a lot of support from here (Specially, thanks to Mike!) Yes, if you are in this boat like most of us who went through the whole process, prepare the docs the best you can, my wife saw others with "blue" and "white" instead of "pink" while she is having her interview, people who did not get their pink is because they think they are the lucky one (it turns out, the support documents are more important.) Because I do speak Chinese, I have exchange information with some local who lives near by the Consulate and some US Citizens, here is what most people say: 1. Language. (Show records, e-mail or phone bills,)2. Pictures of every visits. (most people say....3 visits at least.)3. Money support4. Age differences.5. for CR-1 who sent one tax return, bring 2 more years of tax return.6. remember all the important dates.7. be confident (I think, this is most important one), and interview in English. We arrives the waiting area at 7:00am and wait on the most left lane, and the lines starts to move around 7:30am, wife gets in at 8:00am.Her name was called at 10:00am and did not ask her a question till 12:00 noon. She got her pink after 10 simple questions and that was it. I have no idea how and why her interview process take this much time, so if you experience somewhat different, I can't give you answer. Since my wife was sitting there waiting, she observe others and try to figure out what was going on...... just like the info we collect, if you have the above 7 points, you should be fine. Feel free to drop me a message if you have questions, I be glad to answer it. Now I need to adjust the time differences...........again! Thanks for reading. David Link to comment
