Could I have done the i-134 myself?

Haven't got it back yet. But they said they would notarize and so forth. Could I have done it myself? Anyone done it themselves?

who is 'they'? you paid $40 to notarize a page? If in the US, I think $10 at most; or in china, the consulate will do it for free.

 

Even if your a notary, I'm not sure you can notarized your own document... I hope someone chimes in on that.

Do you have a pen? That's all you need. Take a look at the form to see if there's anything you couldn't have done yourself.

 

It's usually easy to find a free notary.

I know. I was thinking to myself and got a little upset. They helped me to gather everything up for the i-129f, for a fee. I thought the i-134 service was included. Went there, they said 40 bucks... the rest is history

There is not a single form which requires a service to fill out. But certainly if time or confusion exists, ask here as much as needed.

I-134 does not need to be notarized, it has not needed to be notorized since the form was updated last october.

 

You must sign Form I-134 in your full name. (Note: Signing Form I-134 is under penalty of perjury under U.S. law). For this reason, it is not necessary to sign Form I-134 before a notary, nor to have your signature notarize after you sign it.

You do not need to pay anything to fill out this form, you can do this your self.
