Eric
I called DOS this morning and found out that my fiancee's interview has been scheduled for June 2. This is great news but I thought that it would be sometime in mid June so now I am scurrying around trying to get vacation time approved, airfare purchased, etc. I need to know which of the hospitals in GUZ offer expedited service for the medical exams and how many days ahead of the interview does the medical exam need to take place (with expedited service). Do the hospitals conduct the medical exams on weekends? Thanks so much for any assistance that you can offer!! Link to comment
dnoblett
Yes they do, you need to pay a FEE for this service. In our case our interview fell the day after spring festival week, the med centers were closed for a week, and opened the day before our interview, we got to the center before they opened in the morning, showed them our interview letter so they understood the urgency of our case, and they did same day service for us for a FEE. Which hospital did you use?Shamain Island, you can catch a subway from the consulate to the west end of the Island, the med center is an easy walk from the station. Take the Yellow line from the East Railroad station and get off at Huangsha Station. http://johomaps.com/as/china/guangdong/gua...gzhoumetro.html Med center is between 54 and 58 on this map. http://www.dpeters2.com/maps/shamian_island_map.pdf We stayed with the Yangs in the consulate building, Mrs Yang was kind enough to escort us to the med center.
