ling and I are inviting her parents to come for a visit

while trying to fill out the form DS 156 from the chengdu embassy

I get this error message

Secure Connection Failed

218.240.8.118 uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.

The certificate is only valid for UE-Beijing

The certificate expired on 10/19/2007 3:15 AM.

(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

* This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.

* If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again l

Or you can add an exception¡

I also get this error from the Beijing embassy

so my question is it safe to I add it as an exception ?

Direct them to this link: https://evisaforms.state.gov/ (Does not save any data, it just uses the data to generate the bar code on page 3.)

There they will fill out the form, and then print it.

OR;

You can fill it out for them, and save the resulting PDF and email them the PDFs for them to print out.

Thanks Dan

I was planning to do the forms and then send them to lings parents

but I was told ( by visa pro ) to fill out the forms online from the embassy in their province ?

I guess if we have the bar code that is all we need ?

thanks again

Nope, just fill out the forms from DOS and send them to them to present to the consulate when applying for visitor's visas.
