[dumb questions]

So, is American Citizens Services the same as the American Citizens Hour on Mondays from 3 to 4? It was 2:30 to 3:30 and they recently changed it right? Will I need to make an appointment for ACH now?

[/dumb questions]

No - ACS is when you need to get a passport extension, or other normal consulate-type stuff.

adding pages to your passport

renewing your passport

applying for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) and first U.S. passport for your child

notarial services

marriageability affadavits

Our business hours will remain the same:

Monday ¨C Friday, 9:00 am ¨C 11:30 am, 1:30 pm ¨C 3:00 pm

(Except American and local holidays)

Yep, I think they are two different things, ACH has to do with petitioner's questions regarding an immigrant visa case.

American Citizen Services has to do with other state department things like replacement of a lost passport, or adding pages to a passport, etc..

Starting on Monday, July 14, 2008, American Citizen Services will operate by appointment only for all routine services, including:

adding pages to your passport, renewing your passport, applying for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) and first U.S. passport for your child, notarial services, marriageability affidavits

If ACH had changed the IV unit of the consulate would post it here: http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/iv_announcement.htm

Thanks Guys!

So I see from the link ACH is still 1430 - 1530. I am trying to remember where I read the other. Too many things to keep track of, to few brain cells to do the keeping track.
