Guest Tony n Terrific
Is it possible to get a visitors visa for your wife? I was told that this is a possibility. Anyone know about this and the trials and tribulations you must go through? Link to comment
dnoblett
Anything is possible, however, the consulate tends to deny them knowing that their is an obvious immigrations intent. This is a common topic: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=28645&hl= A few months or so someone posted a thread about their spouse coming to USA after marriage on a tourist visa and then adjusting status. I wonder how that AOS is processing? Link to comment
ameriken
Visitor visas are possible, but not probable and many folks are denied. The applicant has to have compelling reasons (and supporting documentation) to prove they will return to China. To ditto dnoblett, the consulates in China look at all applicants as intending immigrants unless they can 'prove' they inted to return to China. Proof would mean a good job, family, homes, good income, other money, etc. The burden of proof is on the applicant and the documentation is important. ameriken
And yet another link from someone who's parent was denied: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=30948 Link to comment
change2marrow
I tried to do the same thing a few years ago and of course was denied. Later, when my wife went for the immigration interview, the officer even said that this was the proper way to come to America. Implying that we were trying to come over illegally. Link to comment
