Jordan J.
Hello everyone, I have a question regarding my fiancee's hukou. We are going to get married this week, and then we are going to apply for the visa. However, her father recently added someone else onto the hukou, and she is a military policewoman here. It is apparently...illegal I suppose, and I am hoping his actions won't have negative consequences on us. Does anyone know if this matters during any stage of the visa process, if the hukou will be checked out, and if there is any possibility this could be a problem? Thanks for your help!- Jordan Link to comment
dnoblett
You us it to get a notarial birth record for the visa and for later. The other person listed on the hukou may cause a problem when filling out the family composition sheet issued by the consulate, I am not sure if family composition is listed on the birth cert. jim_julian
I can't imagine that the US consulate would care about what her father doing this. I believe that as long as she gets her notarial documents, including birth certificate and police certificate, that she'll be OK. Link to comment
