I-751 processing times

Recommended Posts

I hope more people on this site will post their time lines for the I-751. I don't think I would trust the USCIS site on keeping their website up to date. As of now their sites list the following dates for finished processing applications:

California - 8/19/07

Nebraska - 7/5/06

Texas - 4/26/07

Vermont - 3/1/07

As posted above Vermont's date is still on 3/1. Texas is almost a month ahead on the schedule. Some people have been transfered to Vermont from Texas. If Vermont is slower then why transfer to that site? It's probably because no one is updating the list at Vermont (I hope) and the date is much faster than Texas. I don't know if anyone has been looking at the 3/1 date for Vermont longer than I have, but I've seen it stuck there for at least 2 months!

hey, we haven't been too active here lately, but we have been going through the I-751 process... hopefully, this is informative.

we sent ours to Nebraska Service center, and this is our timeline:

1/17/08 - 1st I-797C NOA notice date

1/28/08 - 2nd I-797C NOA notice date (biometric appointment notice)

2/15/08 - biometric appointment

-> our case was transferred to California Service Center, not sure at what point in the process this happened, but we first noticed it sometime after we got our 2nd NOA.

i'm not sure if this is a unique case, nor am i sure if this is a good or bad sign. immediately, it sounds good since california is processing much faster than nebraska.

i'm curious if this has happened to others too.

Another question on this subject:

Has anyone been required to appear for an interview to get their 10 yr green card? It seems that most people are approved w/o an interview. If you've had an interview, what was it like and what kind of questions were you asked.

Thanks,

Peter
