Time from NVC to P-3?

Recommended Posts

What's the current wait time from NVC to GUZ embassy receiving your file? We were told our file has left NVC since Nov 5th. But GUZ still hasn't received our file when I called the DOS last week!

Other than calling DOS, is there any way you can track your file online somewhere?

There are many threads on this hot topic, Pete?? This one is more NVC but also talks about the NVC to GZU time frame!

NVC to GZU has been around 3 months or so as of late!! So that puts you at around the end of February with the "big holiday" coming up!! <_<

I used the VJ timelines, and NVC to GUZ is consistently 3 months or so.

You can add to VJ's timeline data by following this link: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/intro.php?cfl=1

Pete I would think your petition should be received and opened very soon, maybe1-2 weeks.

Good luck :(

Calling DOS is the best way to track your process IMHO. Ask DOS to see when is the last time they got the update for your case. They answer your question according to the computer screen so it's important to ask them to find out how recent is the information they gave you. Good luck.

Best wishes,

Never think of that. I would assume they get their info updated daily. Right now, I basically call the DOS every week.

Btw, is the US embassy get the whole week off for the chinese new year next month?

Are you kidding me??? :o :o . I remember one time calling DOS to check our P3 and the lady told me last computer update for our case is 21 days ago. ;) :) I used to call EVERYDAY until my blood pressure going through the roof. Be prepared for all kinds of conflict answers from them and it is NORMAL!! With all these problems with DOS, believe me, they are still the BEST place to call. Good luck.

I remember Mark used to ask me one time what kind of conflict answers I got. I just dig into my process log and here are some samples:

08/28/2007 09:11 am (PST): US DOS said P3 was sent on 8/14/2007

08/30/2007 12:00 pm (Beijing Time): Nxxk (Visa Information Center) said P3 was sent long time ago and US Consulate is preparing the P4 at this time. No tracking number or date for P3 is available. We were given IV unit fax number: 020-38844412 to find out the P3 detail.

09/01/2007 09:45 am (Beijing Time): Sxxxxt (Visa Information Center) said US Consulate is still conducting Background Check so P3 is not mailed yet. GUZ will not process P4 without receiving our P3.

09/03/2007 01:45 pm (Beijing Time): Jxxxxe (Visa Information Center) said she can not see if the P3 was mailed out or not. She asked Lulu if she received the P3.

09/03/2007 03:13 pm (Beijing Time): Ms. Fxxg (Visa Information Center) said US Consulate is processing our DS-230 and OF-169 so P3 is not mailed out yet.

09/06/2007 7:46 am (Beijing Time): Jxxxxe (Visa Information Center) said: Last computer update was 8/21 and P3 is not sent.

09/07/2007: Sent DS-230 Part I and OF-169 back to GUZ through EMS

09/08/2007: DS-230 Part I and OF-169 were received by GUZ.

09/10/2007 07:37 pm: Received GuangZhou IV Unit email reply:

Dear Mr. Yxxx,

Please be advised that we have received your fiancée's petition from the NVC yesterday and will send an Instruction Packet (Packet 3) to her this week. In the packet your fiancée is requested to fill out the DS-230 and OF-169 and prepare documents to start her visa application. We will schedule your fiancée for visa interview in three months after receiving her completed DS-230 and OF-196.

10/23/2007 10:45 am (PST): DOS Visa Specialist: P3 was mailed on Aug. 14th 2007 and was return back to GUZ on Sep. 10th 2007. GUZ resent P3 to US petitioner on Sep. 11th 2007. GUZ received P3 forms on Sep. 24th 2007 but documents are not qualified. Suggest me to email GUZ to find out what need to be done.

Enjoy!! :) :o

Best wishes,

I agree with that assessment Rob !! B)

After all, Mark's file left the NVC for GUZ in late September, four months ago, and he is through the P-3 process; so I, too, think it will be a March interview. That will be eleven months since his initial filing.

I am still hoping for a mid-May interview, based on all I see. That would also be my eleven month mark, since initial filing; however, there is the big holiday in May. :) :D
