kevinbeijing
Just got the EAD today!! Very excited... but the country of birth says "Usa"Is this a BIG problem, or something that can be overlooked? Our AOS interview is in a week... Should I just mention that to them? Any info would be greatly welcomed!! Link to comment
tywy_99
After a successful interview, you won't need the EAD. With that being said, just see how things go at the interview. Take the EAD card with you and mention it to the IO. The IO may take it and hopefully stamp your wife's passport with the temporary I-551. That is how you hope things will go. I hope so for you too! -good luck Link to comment
LeeFisher3
You could ask the IO why your wife needs an AOS interview since the USCIS in their infinite wisdom has stated she was born in the USA and then ask them if they would get her a US passport instead of a green card. Try to have some fun with it. Link to comment
