Everyone mentioned about GZ consulate only. Is this the only one to use for K-1 Visa? There was a section on the application to list which Embassy to use and I know there are other in Beijing as well as Shanghai. Are we allow to use these other places or we can only use the Embassy in Guangzhou? Thanks for your help in advance.

For K1... as others have said.

If you married in China and were living & working in china, you could submit to one of the consulates... and it would end up at GUZ for interivew and issuing...

A.1.10.17

there is one Embassy and 4 Consulates on the Mainland:

Guangzhou – Embassy, where regional filing and ALL interviews occur here

Beijing – Consulate, where regional filing occurs

Chengdu – Consulate, where regional filing occurs

Shanghai – Consulate, where regional filing occurs

Shengyang – Consulate, where regional filing occurs

And your point is you would be better off getting divorced and having your SO apply for a visa there?

I'm not sure what divorcing has to do with it? Isn't a K-3 a non-immigrant visa for a spouse?

I still think that the K's all are done through GZ. I think by non-immigrant visa they mean the tourist, work, and student visas, etc.
