Is that normal?

I started the whole process by sending my I-130 to NSC last Monday. But so far I haven't get the NOA1 yet, and they didn't cash out my check neither. Now, almost 2 weeks past and I'm desperately waiting it for the K-3. Is it normal or something bad happens? Is there any way I can monitor it?

It usually takes two to three weeks. There really is no way to moniter anything until you get the NAO1 and the case number on it

 

Did you send it so it was trackable?

I sent it by usps express mail and they received it next day.

This is the gray area where they have complete control, and you have none. The knowledge you already have (that they did receive it) is the best you can do until they are ready to process it.

Unfortunately, I can only see the front page of the check on the bank's website, but I do get a reference #, not sure that's the case #.

For what it's worth, it took us six weeks to get NOA 1. Of course, that was back in the Dark Ages (2001).

What's a surprise. Just two days after they cashed my check, the NOA1 was on my hands this morning. Guessing you must pay before you get the service. B)

I'm going to mail my I-129F package next Monday, BTW, can anyone tell me whether I need write a cover letter for K-3.
