Here's a reply I just received from GZ after e-mailing them on 12/30/02 and 1/08/03.

Thank you for your email. We have not yet received a response from the

Department of State for your case. Once we get it, we will notify the

applicants.

Thank you for using the GuangzhouIV e-mail service. The Information Team

tries to reply promptly to all inquiries. However, given the high volume of

mail we receive, sometimes our response can be delayed. Please be patient

and wait for our reply before writing again. Also, please try to combine as

many questions as possible into one e-mail. Thank you very much for your

cooperation.

NEW form letter ! Is anybody collecting those?

Can WE spell "auto-response" together??

This is a disgrace.

"Please be patient and wait for our reply before writing again"

Do your job, and we won't have to write AGAIN !

God, I need to kill someone now..Forget the lifeterm.

Yes, a new form letter. However, I notice a subtle difference here. In all the past form letters I received, they always stated they had not received word from "US Authorities". Here they specifically identify DOS as the party from whom they will receive notice. To my knowledge, this is a new wrinkle. Of course, I may be wrong about this as I have not received anything from them in the past week.

Now I am confused more. According to DoS, the clearance doesn't show up in their system until it is entered by GZ. Now GZ says they are waiting word from DoS. Again, someone please enlighten me on how this works exactly. :greenblob: :greenblob:

Mick... Ther is no explanation you or me will be privvy off

In my case, DoS says they "requested" GZ to resubmit... On other posts Dos said.. Well, we're not waiting on those GZ folks to do that ! We did it ourselves on Jan 4.. Not true.. I'm a living example. I was only resub'd 1/27 according to an email from GZ. So the "we took care of earlier cases... we're working on it, we resub'd everyone " line is total BS.. and we all know it.

And when they say " US authorities" or "stateside" versus "state Department" it means squat. This is not a new wrinkle. State is their boss in the food chain..

Just a matter of phrasing. And the saga continues... Act XXII

So the name and blame, infernal shell game just goes on and on. Great! There has to be some credible answer somewhere. :greenblob: Question is, who has it? You're probably right. We'll never know. :greenblob:

No we won't.. And by the time we might,, we won't give a damn about Guangzhou.... To busy to fight the INS/DHS combo for AOS

from what i have heard (which may very well not be true), gz does not send paperwork to the states, merely the applicant's name. thus, why would names, easy as pie to send, be sitting in a box? that wouldnt make sense. we are too annoying. it would be easier for them to send.
