Form photos for interview time

This is a simple question in regards to the 2 passport size photos required for the paperwork. I know that the requirements have changed to full frontal view, but does it matter or not if your hair is on your shoulders or should you tie the hair back and show both ears fully? I dont think it really matters whether the hair is pulled back or not... what do you think?

To add a variation to this,

As some here may recall, My original application, the INS photos of us both had fallen out, and I never got an RFE for it. I'm planning to take some of me in case, and she is already having to as per P4 instructions.

With the new photo standard they are no longer taking ear counts. Don't worry any place that takes passport/visa pictures should know the latest preferences of the photo peepers in the government.

Jim I always take passport style pics with me. You never know when it will come in handy.
