I don't understand about picking up the visa the next day though. I though it had to be sent to the SO or if she lived in GZ picked up 3 days later?

I think since the consulate is moving soon, so it authorized the post office to handle picking up visa. you will have to pay 20 YUan to a post office if you want to pick up by yourself, the post office is about 3 minutes walk away from the consulate.(I think better to pick up yourself in case it get lost on the way!). you will be told that you can pick up visa in 2 days after passing the interview. i just picked up the visa this morning in another post office where is about 12 minutes walk away from the consulate.

they can also send the visa to you by EMS, but in Guangdong province only. they dont provide sending visa outside of Guangdong province yet if I remember correctly.
