  1. I will look into getting one over there. If I get one I will need to find someone to set it up for her, but, we'll see how it goes. I'll have to see if she has a computer cafe nearby. Thanks again everyone. I,too get down once in a while. 225599[/snapback] Just a thought and what I did. I went to a local pawn shop and bought a very nice laptop for $250 after some haggling back and forth on price. Took it home bought the web cam and microphone set it all up myself. With Yahoo messenger, Chinese version, from the internet. Her yahoo mail box etc. Sent her a message to Yahoo messenger so when she opened it it would automatically allow you to make calls to her and puts you on her contact list. Shipping might be a little bit of expense but well worth it. I took mine over with me on my 2nd visit. Then she had her friends husband install Chinese language onto computer so she could use for her friends and family when she does get here. We have endless fun talking to one another and reccommend it to anyone. And yes you can introduce family and friends, show her the house, etc. Plus practice the interview questions!!!!! I am sure as you and me included we all get down at some point during the process because of the time and abscence. But just believe it soon will be over. I am really having trouble being close to the end, but she is very positive now and trys to relax me!!!!!!!
  2. Set up Yahoo Messenger with voice with a web camera and microphone. Does wonders to talk to them FREE every morning and night. At least for me and mine!!!
  3. that is good to know thanks. Thought it might be normal. When my wife arrives I hope I can convence her and her family to bring her daughter here. The daughter is afraid, because of the little English she speaks, regarding school. Time will tell!
  4. Received a reply from GUZ the other day. My wife sent P3 in april 28th was told this: Please be advised that we have received your wife and daughter's DS-230 and OF-169. They are now in the line of waiting for being interviewed. According to our current arrangement, we estimate that they are most likely to be scheduled between August and September, 2006. An appointment packet (Packet 4) will be sent to your wife two to four weeks ahead of her actual interview date. Wait wait wait!!!!! We didn't even apply for step daughters, she is staying in China.
  5. Reply from GUZ regarding my question!!!!!!!!!! Please be advised that we have received your wife and daughter's DS-230 and OF-169. They are now in the line of waiting for being interviewed. According to our current arrangement, we estimate that they are most likely to be scheduled between August and September, 2006. An appointment packet (Packet 4) will be sent to your wife two to four weeks ahead of her actual interview date. Best regards, To begin with this has nothing to do with the question I asked regarding automatic extension of approved I-129f. Secondly my wife's daughter is not traveling to the USA with her. Do they mix things up or only assume. Is this an answer for me or for someone else? Who knows but at least it gave me some kind of information to read. How much time is there between August and September, if you read the message as written.
  6. I just sent this message to Guangzhou we will see what response I get from them. I hope it is favorable as it is my understanding the extention is suppose to be automatic. Beneficiary Visa Category(optional): K3 Subject: Other Message Text (optional): Dear Sirs, I have filed an I-129f petition, for K3 visa, for my wife. We understand that she is eligible for interview and we await the receipt of P4 to her. The validity of the I-129f approval from the NVC expired on June 15,2006, before my wife had an opportunity to interview for her visa. I understand that the consulate in Guangzhou can automatically extend the validity knowing that the process usually takes longer than 4 months, in China, for an additional 4 month period. Can you tell me if our petition has ben stamped as extended and what that date is? If it has not been stamped as extended what process must we take to have that done? Thank You (My Name)
  7. Trying to get a response that might help everyones mind.
  8. I just got off the phone with DOS. I asked specific questions. I was told my wife is eligible for interview and the name check is complete but no interview has been scheduled. I was told that her name check was completed in March which means that it was done at the NVC because the package was sent to GUZ on March 6 and did not arrive until 4/18. I asked about the date the eligible for interview date changed and he could not tell me that. SO>>>>>>>We too are waiting for the next step as it appears a lot of us are. Maybe that is why it is taking so long to set the interview dates. I am sending my wife documents next week via DHL, 3 day delivery to her door, so they say.
  9. Yes I kind of thought so too. That is why I sent again the part about the automatic extention, a bit ago.
  10. Here is a copy and paste of an e-mail I sent to my lawyer today and his response: Mr ?????, With the new IMBRA law in affect now do you think the consulates will take advantage of the expiration of the I-129 F 4 month period to cause reapplication instead of automatically extending the time? Ours expires today the 15th. Mike response: So far there has been no indication of IMBRA affecting I-129F (K-3) petitions filed prior to March 6, 2006. Best regards,
  11. Returned our P3 for K3 4/28 it is now 6/15. Called DOS on Monday and I was told "case complete eligible for interview". Called today and a woman said "the only information we have is the case is in GUZ no interview set" and nothing else when asked if there was any other information. Guess it depends on who you talk to on what information you get. I wonder if they log when we call them and they know who the pests are! Still haven't seen the P4 yet or had interview scheduled.
  12. This is just to show that there was no flubbing in your original I guess. Just doing as my attorney requests just in case it is ask for, updated financial information.
  13. Yes that is all it is. However my attorney also requested me to obtain a letter from my bank that stated the following on their letterhead: 1 when the account was opened 2 still current 3 balance Then follow up with 3 most recent statements before interview
  14. Isn't there some kind of form you can file for this issue of leaving the USA for extended period? I don't remember what it was called but like parole or something.
