I have heard that if K3 and CR1 are combined, then the pre-interview namecheck is not needed (because namecheck for K3 was already conducted in NVC), and hence that will make the process time shorter than CR1 alone. Can anyone confirm whether this is true or not?
Nope, they still do the namecheck.
-
Dunno. My K3 and CR1 met in GUZ. In January 2005, they called hubby to tell him he was getting the CR1. Our interview date is 5/23....still had a long arse wait.

On the contrary, I have travelled to several different provinces in CHina, and I found that despite the different dialects. But that sort of "I am a different from other chinese" is much more mild than how different my children will be from the general population.
As I mentioned before, our circumstances may be a bit different. So what is good for me any my children may not necessarily follow for you.
-
Well Dan, I don't know you well enough to know why you went through the things you did. The facts specific to your case may be totally different than the issue at hand.
Secondly, our child will be part African-American and part Chinese. A unique combo! I would take a second look at a person who was that combo here in the states! Just because it is interesting. So imagine how children in China, having only been exposed to ppl who look like them, would act...
-
They are Chinese and AMerican. And I feel that American society is more accepting of "diversity" than China. Think about it, when you walk down the street in China, what do people do? Stare. Now imagine people doing that to your kids.
-
Your photo icon is so cute! I enjoy seeing couples with Chinese men and AMerican women since so many CFLers are American men that married Chinese women.
Good for us!
-
OOHH? Wow that was a diss to the entire CFL!!!
Repent evil doer!

What about raising children in CHina? I was told that that could be rough. We will most likely return one day, and I am well aware of the fact, that it could be rough on my kids.
Hmmm
-
My mind is made up now. Thanks. I will be having my kids here.
-
OMG Lynn, I dread that! That is why I am going to pop out all of the babies here in the states. I have heard horror stories about american women giving birth in china....OUH!

I seriously need to get one, as well as get my hair braided, and clean up the house. All of this in the midst of law school exams and a hectic work schedule! I think I better get started on those important details!
