K3 + CR1 = headache

I thought from P3 to P4 was like 5 or 5 months. And from P4 to interview is like 3 weeks to 1.5 months.

I don't know if it is protocol, but they did call hubby last month to let him know that his CR1 and K3 had come through at the same time. They also let him know they would grant the CR1, instead of the K3.

Nah, I have heard consistently for a while now that his name checks were completed. But just last week one phone call from the DOS contradicted that. So that is why I am glad to hear from the consulate that they are done. It is a generic email, so they use the word "recently" with everyone. I'm still good.

I got some kind of good news: Dear Petitioner Thank you for your email, we recently finished pre-interview processing of Mr. Wang's visa application. He is now ready to be scheduled for an interview. Once the interview date is scheduled, we will mail the appointment packet to his address. Given high volume of visa applications, we cannot predict when the interview will be scheduled. Better than what DOS told me last week.

Even the part about the twins?

Dear P4 God, Please grant my husband an interview before I go off the deep end. Please let the interview run smoothly and let him be granted his visa with ease. And let us conceive twins the day he arrives in the States. And let him miraculously learn English in week. Thank you.

Well, if you don't keep your hopes up, what have you got? anyways, I am on the phone with DOS now. I just like harrassing them. Oh wait, it is ringing...this lady seems half-way nice. (She is checking the case as I type). Kinda bad news this time. She said the name check is pending. But last time I called they said the name checks were completed and they were just waiting for an interview date. Why can't GZ get their story straight?

I wanted to lift someone spirits with this post, but the truth is I haven't heard any new P4's being granted in a while!

I guess that makes me feel a bit better. By the way, how often do you guys call DOS? And do them seem unreasonably rude to you as well?

James and Veronica - October P3, got their interview date! 3/25

I have a funny feeling hubby and I will get our interview soon...I can feel it in my bones. Plus, since I am so busy with work and school and will be extremely busy when he gets here, logic seems to follow (Murphy's Law) that they will give him his visa at the time of year I am the busiest!

Seems like two late October p4's have gotten interviews!! Keep 'em coming!
