Avs81
Hi everyone, My wife wants to learn how to drive here in the US. I cant find a drivers manual for Chinese speakers, does anyone know where i can get a translated version of the driving manual? We live in Massachusetts by the way, I try to help her myself but she needs to learn the techincal parts herself. Any ideas where I can get a new or used copy? Thanks. Bill Link to comment
steveandrong
check online for, among other, california or washington state....they have the rules of the road booklets in chinese on the internet available for printing or download...maybe are some subtle differences from your state, but i think is close enough to pass a test....and check with your secretary of states office to see if they have a test available in chinese....illinois did have this, but the local driving test station was unaware of it....i had to make some calls to get it supplied to them. dnoblett
This is a common topic. California, and Washington state provide manuals in Chinese. http://www.dmv.ca.go...hdbk/dl600C.pdf http://www.dol.wa.go...DriverGuide.pdf Link to comment
griz326
There were enough differences in traffic rules between MT & CA/WA that Lao Po arguably failed her first test based on the differences. Second time through she passed after identifying those discrepancies. Now she is a holy terror in the high school parking lott. Link to comment
danb
Here is a link for a translated drivers manual for Mass.: http://www.rc123.com/chi_driv_ma_main.html I don't read Chinese and don't have an English manual so I can't do a comparison to see how good it may be. It would be intersting how good the translation is. I hope it helps. I have heard that you can take the test in Chinese in Mass. Please let us know how this manual works out. Is it of any use? Good Luck. Danb Link to comment
