K1 petition sent back to the USCIS

Dear USCONGUZ,

 

There are a few of us on this site that would like to know how long you hold a K1 petition after the Consulate decides to deny the petition. Approx. how long does it take for the petition to arrive at the service center from which it came?

Dear CFL,

 

Since each case is different, it is impossible to provide a specific time frame for the return of any one case to the United States. We of course try to return each case as soon as possible. In general, the process takes several months, as a result of case preparation, transit time, and processing at DHS. If several months have passed, and the case has not yet been returned to the U.S., please contact us for further information.
