Information is not current What is a 10 year green card? There is no "10-year Green card", at least not in the way you seem to think. What there is, is the status as Permanent Resident. The actual Green card (it is not green anymore, but the name stuck) is proof of that status. The card is valid for 10 years, and then a person has to get a new one, but the status as Permanent Resident does not expire after 10 years.CFL LINKS:Green Card, What does it really meanhttp://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15752Out of country for more than 1 year, How to return to USA (green card holder)http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12056Students & Tourists vs. Family & Fiances, anywhere to get hard numbers?http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...=11537&st=0CR-1 .... is it true?, Green Card is issued right away in GUZ?http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...11579&st=15Keeping Your Green Card While Traveling, From a Boston Lawyerhttp://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=11341&hl=Travel after Green Cardhttp://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=10798&hl=temporary green cardhttp://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...ic=9336&hl=2 Year visa - 10 Year visa ?????, length of term for the visas...http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=10997&hl=IR-1 and CR-1, kind of confusehttp://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...ic=2833&hl=USCIS LINKS:USCIS Green card documentation (How to / FAQ):http://uscis.gov/graphics/faqsgen.htm#greencardHow to get a Green card through employment:http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/residency/employment.htmNew Green card Filing Procedureshttp://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/ne...ckbox052505.pdfGREEN CARD LINKS:Green Cards:http://www.foreignborn.com/visas_imm/immig...green_cards.htmFAQ on Expiring Green Cards:http://www.foreignborn.com/visas_imm/immig...green_cards.htmRenewing your expiring Green Cards:http://www.foreignborn.com/visas_imm/immig...w_greencard.htmCITIZENSHIP ISSUES for CHILDREN"...Who is a Child for Purposes of CCA Benefits?A foreign born person under age 18 who is the child of an U.S. citizen by birth or adoption qualifies for CCA benefits.A child who is the "step-child" of an U.S. citizen does not qualify for CCA benefits unless he or she is legally adopted by the U.S. citizen parent.
